Q&A

How much flower can I buy in Nevada in one transaction?

NV CCB caps adult-use flower at 2.5 ounces (about 71 grams) per transaction under NRS 678D.310 (effective January 1, 2024). You can buy up to 2.5 oz of flower OR 0.25 oz (1/4 oz) of concentrate per transaction - these are alternatives, not stacked. See NV cannabis laws.

Q&A

What's the difference between indica, sativa, and hybrid?

The classic split: indica = body-relaxing, evening, sleep-leaning; sativa = uplifting, daytime, focus-leaning; hybrid = blend of both. Modern cannabis science is moving away from this binary - strain effect is more accurately predicted by terpene profile (myrcene = sedating, limonene = uplifting, pinene = focus, linalool = calming) and cannabinoid ratio. See cannabis terpenes guide.

03
Q&A

What does THC percentage actually mean?

THC % on the label is the total potential THC content of the dry flower (typically 18–32%). Higher THC % does not always mean a stronger or better experience - terpene profile, cannabinoid ratios (CBG, CBN, CBC), and personal tolerance matter more for many consumers. A 20% flower with rich terpenes often outperforms a 30% flower with a flat terpene profile.

Q&A

How should I store cannabis flower?

Optimal storage: cool, dark, airtight, 59–63% RH. Use a glass jar with a humidity pack (Boveda 62%). Avoid plastic bags (static damages trichomes), refrigerators (condensation), and freezers (trichome shatter). Properly stored flower stays fresh 6–12 months. Improperly stored flower dries out in weeks and loses terpenes/potency.

05
Q&A

What are trichomes?

Trichomes are the microscopic resin glands on cannabis flower that produce cannabinoids (THC, CBD) and terpenes. They appear as tiny crystalline hairs under magnification. Look for milky-white trichomes (peak THC) and amber trichomes (more sedating CBN as THC degrades). Clear trichomes indicate under-harvested flower.

06
Q&A

What's the right grind size for joints, blunts, and bongs?

Joints/blunts: medium-fine (consistent burn, no pulls). Pipes/bowls: medium (airflow but not fall-through). Bongs: medium-coarse (maximizes vapor production without screen-clog). Vaporizers (dry-herb): fine (maximum surface area for convection). Use a 2- or 4-piece grinder with kief catcher.

07
Q&A

Are pre-rolls as good as rolling your own?

Modern NV CCB-licensed pre-rolls are often excellent - many use whole-flower (not shake/trim), are tested same as flower, and offer convenience without rolling skill. Premium pre-rolls (infused with kief, hash, or live rosin) can exceed home-rolled potency. Budget pre-rolls may use trim - check the package label for "whole flower" vs "trim."

08
Q&A

Does old or dry flower lose potency?

Yes - over 6–12 months, THC degrades to CBN (more sedating, less psychoactive). Old flower is not "expired" but is less potent and can taste harsh. Rehydrate moderately-dry flower with a Boveda 62% pack. Severely dry flower is best used for edibles (decarb + infuse) rather than smoking. See cannabis storage guide.

09
Q&A

What's the smoothest way to smoke flower?

Smoothness ranking (least harsh to most): dry-herb vaporizer (no combustion = least lung irritation), bong with ice (water filtration + cooling), pipe (no filtration), joint (paper combustion), blunt (tobacco wrap = nicotine + carcinogens). Vaporizers preserve more terpenes and avoid combustion byproducts.
