Bred by Seed Junky Genetics (Kushy Kush / Jbeezy) in California, Wedding Cake came from crossing Triangle Kush (a Florida OG cut) with Animal Mints (a GSC descendant). Released as a clone-only line and then seeded out in 2017–2018, it became one of the most requested cultivars at retail because of three things: vanilla-pastry aroma, dense resin-coated buds, and effects that did not commit to either pole.
