Runtz parents: Zkittlez (the candy-aroma champion of 2015–16) crossed with Gelato (the dessert-cream Cookie-family cultivar). Bred in California by the Cookies / Runtz brand collaboration around 2017–18 and stabilized into multiple commercial phenotypes (Pink Runtz, White Runtz, Rainbow Runtz). Most modern Runtz expressions in Nevada descend from the original Cookies/Runtz seedline or from regional pheno-hunts.
