TL;DR
We collect only the information needed to verify your age, fulfill your order, comply with Nevada cannabis law, and improve the website. We do not sell personal information. We do not share customer-purchase data with insurers or advertisers. We retain transaction records for the period required by Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board rules and we delete what we are legally allowed to delete on request. To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected].
Information we collect
At the dispensary. When you check in, we scan your government-issued photo ID to confirm you are 21 or older, or to confirm you hold a valid Nevada Medical Marijuana card or out-of-state reciprocity card. Per Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board rules, we record the transaction in METRC, the state-mandated seed-to-sale tracking system. We do not retain a copy of your ID image after the verification check; we record only the data points the CCB requires.
Online. When you visit greenleafwellness.com, our servers receive standard log information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use cookies (see "Cookies" below) and similar technologies. When you create an account or place an order, we collect name, date of birth, email, phone address (if you choose pickup), and payment information processed through a PCI-compliant cashless ATM provider (we do not store card numbers).
Email or SMS signup. If you opt into our email or SMS list, we collect your name and contact information to send marketing messages you opted into. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by replying STOP to text messages.
How we use information
Verify your age and (where applicable) medical-card eligibility.
Process orders, pickups, and refunds for defective product.
Comply with Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board reporting and METRC transaction recording.
Operate, secure, and improve the website.
Send marketing communications you have opted into (email or SMS).
Investigate fraud, abuse, or safety concerns.
Respond to lawful requests from law enforcement when legally compelled.

What we do not do
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not share customer-purchase data with insurers, employers, banks, credit bureaus, or advertisers. We do not display targeted advertising on our site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. We do not use customer data to train machine-learning models.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies (cart, age-verification confirmation), analytics cookies (privacy-respecting analytics with IP truncation), and limited preference cookies (theme, accessibility settings). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser.
Sharing your information
We share information only with these categories of recipients:
- METRC and the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board. As required by NRS 678 and CCB regulations, every transaction is recorded in the state seed-to-sale system. The CCB has audit access to this data.
- Payment processor. Our cashless ATM processor receives card-tokenized transaction data. They do not receive product-line detail.
- Service providers. Hosting, analytics (privacy-respecting), email service provider, and SMS gateway. Each operates under a written data-processing agreement with confidentiality and security obligations.
- Law enforcement. Only when legally compelled by a valid court order, subpoena, or warrant. We notify you when allowed by law.
Data retention
We retain transaction records for the period required by the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board (currently five years from the transaction date for retail compliance purposes). We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Marketing-list data is retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for 90 days. Backups are kept for 30 days.
Your rights
Nevada residents have rights under NRS 603A, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Because we do not sell personal information, this opt-out is automatic for all customers. Residents of other states (CA, CO, CT, UT, VA, others) with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights including access, correction, and deletion of personal information. To exercise any privacy right, email [email protected] or write to the address below. We respond within 45 days. Note: we cannot delete records that NV cannabis law requires us to retain.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard security: TLS 1.3 for all site traffic, encrypted backups, hashed passwords (Argon2id), restricted access on a least-privilege basis, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data, we will notify you per NRS 603A.220.
Changes
We may update this policy as the law or our practices change. Material changes are announced with a banner on the homepage for 30 days. The "Last reviewed" date at the top reflects the current version.
