Q&A

What's the difference between distillate, live resin, and rosin vapes?

Distillate is highly-refined THC oil (~85–95% THC) with terpenes added back in - clear, neutral-tasting, potent. Live resin is extracted from fresh-frozen flower preserving full terpene profile - fuller flavor, more strain-character. Live rosin is solventless (heat + pressure only) extracted from fresh-frozen hash - premium price, cleanest method, most expensive. See concentrates guide.

02
Q&A

What does 510-thread mean and why does it matter?

510-thread is the universal cartridge connector size - almost all standard cannabis cartridges fit any 510-thread battery. Pod systems (Pax Era, STIIIZY, Plug DnA) use proprietary connectors that only work with their own batteries. 510-thread offers more battery flexibility; pod systems often offer cleaner draw and tighter quality control. Both are sold at Greenleaf Wellness.

03
Q&A

Are NV vape carts tested for heavy metals and pesticides?

Yes - NV CCB requires every batch to pass independent third-party lab testing for heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic), pesticides, residual solvents, microbials, and potency. Look for the lab COA (Certificate of Analysis) batch number on the package. Counterfeit street carts (often labeled with brand names like "Dank Vapes" or fake "Cookies") are not tested and have caused EVALI lung-injury cases.

Are NV vape carts tested for heavy metals and pesticides?
04
Q&A

What caused EVALI lung injuries?

The 2019–2020 EVALI (e-cigarette/vaping-associated lung injury) outbreak was traced primarily to vitamin E acetate as a thickener in black-market THC carts. Licensed dispensary carts in NV do not use vitamin E acetate - NV CCB regulations prohibit it. Buy only from licensed dispensaries; never buy carts from unverified sources or online resellers.

05
Q&A

How do I know if a cart is counterfeit?

Counterfeit carts often: (1) have no NV-CCB lab batch number on the package, (2) use famous brand names not licensed in NV, (3) sell at street prices well below $25–$60 retail, (4) lack tamper-evident packaging, (5) have no QR code linking to a COA. Licensed NV dispensary product packaging includes the CCB license number, batch ID, and lab-test data. Always buy from a licensed dispensary like Greenleaf Wellness.

06
Q&A

What's the right vape temperature for cannabis?

Standard 510-thread batteries with variable voltage: 2.5–3.0V (low) for terpene flavor, 3.0–3.5V (medium) for balanced effect, 3.5–4.0V (high) for max-vapor (but burnt-terpene risk). For pod systems with fixed-temperature controls, follow manufacturer specs. Lower temps preserve terpenes and produce a smoother experience; higher temps produce more vapor but can degrade flavor.

07
Q&A

How long does a vape cart last?

A 0.5g cart contains ~150 standard 3-second draws. A daily 5-draw user gets ~30 days. A 1g cart doubles that. Open carts degrade over 6–12 months - terpenes oxidize, viscosity changes. Store upright in a cool dark place. Refrigeration is unnecessary and can cause condensation.

08
Q&A

Can I take a vape on a flight from RNO?

No for cannabis vapes. Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is federal jurisdiction - TSA enforces federal Controlled Substances Act prohibition. THC vape cartridges (any concentration) are federally illegal to transport on aircraft. Tobacco/nicotine vapes are allowed in carry-on (not checked bags) per FAA battery rules. See NV cannabis laws.

09
Q&A

What if my vape battery isn't working?

Common fixes: (1) charge battery fully - most use USB-C or proprietary chargers, (2) check 510-thread connection (don't over-tighten - finger-tight is enough), (3) draw gently - auto-draw batteries activate on inhale not button-press, (4) airflow holes may be clogged - clean with isopropyl alcohol, (5) cart may be empty or oil-channel-clogged. If the cart is defective from the dispensary, return within 24 hours with the receipt.
