Cannabis Vape Temperature Guide - Why It Matters
Vaporizer temperature changes which cannabinoids and terpenes you actually inhale. At lower temperatures, you preserve the terpene profile but extract less THC; at higher temperatures, you extract more cannabinoids but degrade the terpenes and create more harsh combustion-like compounds. Understanding the temperature curve helps you tune your e-rig, temperature-control cart, or other vaporizer for the experience you want. We carry vape hardware and concentrate at Greenleaf Wellness - see the vape hub and shop page.

Temperature ranges and what you get
What happens at high temperatures
Above 392°F (200°C), cannabis material begins producing benzene, naphthalene, and other combustion-related compounds - the same harmful pyrolysis products produced when you smoke. Vaporization's health-trade-off advantage over smoking depends on staying below this combustion threshold.

Practical buying tips
Dry-herb vaporizers with precise temperature control (PAX 3, Mighty, Volcano) give you the most flexibility. 510-thread cartridges and disposable vapes use fixed-temperature heating - you can't tune them. Pod systems like PAX Era and Stiiizy run at preset temperatures designed for the oil viscosity. See PAX brand page and Stiiizy for hardware-specific notes.
Honest caveat
Vape hardware quality matters as much as temperature. Counterfeit or cheap hardware can produce harmful aerosols (heavy metals, glue residues) regardless of temperature setting. Always buy hardware from licensed Nevada dispensaries.
