TL;DR

High-THC flower at Greenleaf = NV-licensed cultivator + indoor / hybrid environmental control + ISO 17025 lab COA + METRC seed-to-sale + 26-32% Total THC typical, up to 34-36% on rare phenotype runs. Available in 1g, 1/8 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1 oz formats. Smoke-shop "THCA flower" pulled under Nevada SB 356 (2025) - Greenleaf is now the licensed source.

2-step process

What "high-THC" actually means on a Nevada flower COA

  1. 01

    % THCA

the dominant cannabinoid in fresh-cured flower (often 22-28% on a high-THC SKU).

  2. 02

    % Δ9-THC

small amount on raw flower (typically 0.2-1.5%), since most THC has not yet decarboxylated.

What gets a flower lot into the high-THC tier

01

Genetics

phenotype selection within a strain matters more than strain name. A "Wedding Cake" can pheno-hunt to 32% Total THC or settle to 22% depending on which cut the cultivator runs.

02

Indoor environment

temperature, humidity, VPD, light spectrum, and CO₂ enrichment dialed for late-flower cannabinoid expression.

03

Nutrient profile

late-stage P-K loading with controlled N taper.

04

Harvest timing

pulling at peak trichome maturity (cloudy with ~10-20% amber).

05

Cure

slow cure in 58-62% RH controlled-environment for 14-30+ days preserves cannabinoid mass and terpene profile.

06

Storage

UV-protected, RH-controlled jars at the dispensary preserve potency at retail.

05 · Why smoke-shop "30% THCA flower" was not

Why smoke-shop "30% THCA flower" was not equivalent

Through 2024-2025, smoke shops sold "THCA flower" advertised at "28-32% THCA" - numbers that look comparable to dispensary high-THC flower. The catches:

For the lab-panel look at see lab-tested licensed vs hemp products.

  • "% THCA" alone is not Total THC; the smoke-shop number was a cannabinoid-specific reading, not the full decarboxylated yield.
  • Most hemp flower was not grown under indoor environmental controls; many cultivars were greenhouse or light-deprivation outdoor.
  • Lab COAs frequently only reported Δ9-THC mass (to satisfy the federal 0.3% Farm Bill loophole) and skipped pesticide, heavy metal, microbial, and mycotoxin panels.
  • After Nevada applied Total THC math under SB 356 (2025), those products were pulled. See why smoke shops stopped selling flower in Sparks 2026.
