Crystal Bay sits directly on the NV-CA state line. Cannabis cannot be transported across the state line under federal law (21 U.S.C. § 812) - even though both Nevada and California have legalized recreational cannabis. The Tahoe Biltmore Lodge & Casino (closed 2020 but property remains) and Cal Neva Resort areas are private hotel/casino property - cannabis is prohibited on premises. Lake Tahoe shoreline at Crystal Bay is partly USFS (federal Forest Service) - federal-land sections prohibit cannabis. NV-side residential subdivisions in Incline Village often have HOA covenants - verify your CC&R.

NV recreational law: adults 21+ may purchase up to 2.5 oz of usable cannabis flower or 0.25 oz (1/4 oz) of concentrate per transaction under NRS 678D.310. Edibles are limited to 100 mg THC per package and 10 mg THC per serving (a packaging rule, not a purchase cap). The NV-CA state line through Crystal Bay is the federal cannabis transport line under 21 U.S.C. § 812 - cannabis cannot be transported across regardless of either state's legalization.
