Lineage and history
The most-cited Bubba Kush story is that a breeder in LA crossed OG Kush with an unknown indica (often described as a Northern Lights / Afghan hybrid passed through hand-to-hand seed sharing) in 1996, and one pheno from that cross was named after him. The strain was carried into the Pre-Recreational LA medical scene through 1998–2000 and stabilized via clone sharing rather than seedbank breeding. Modern Bubba Kush in Nevada usually descends from those LA clone lines, though several Nevada-licensed cultivators run their own pheno selections.
