Lineage and history
The most-cited Bubba Kush story is that a breeder in LA crossed OG Kush with an unknown indica (often described as a Northern Lights / Afghan hybrid passed through hand-to-hand seed sharing) in 1996, and one pheno from that cross was named after him. The strain was carried into the Pre-Recreational LA medical scene through 1998 to 2000 and stabilized via clone sharing rather than seedbank breeding. Modern Bubba Kush in Nevada usually descends from those LA clone lines, though several Nevada-licensed cultivators run their own pheno selections.
